Although bigger greenhouse requires more hydroponic grow lights, sometimes this can be reduced by proper arrangement of the greenhouse stacks and layout.

Next deciding factor is the type of the plants. Comparatively, some plats require more sunlight (plants originated from exotic countries) than the other. If you are cultivating one of this category, then you should have more hydroponic grow lights than the usual.
There is an alternative for hydroponic grow lights; sunlight. You cannot replace the need of hydroponic grow lights by using sunlight though. As an alternative (partial), you can maximize the number of windows in the greenhouse, so it takes in maximum amount of sunlight. If you do this arrangement, the need of hydroponic grow lights can be reduced. This also means that you will reduce the electricity bill of your greenhouse and finally more profit margin for crop.
